Seascapes and Ocean Wall Murals

Seascape with rock formations, shark, manta ray and shipwreck.Thomas Kehoe's seascape, ocean murals and under the sea wall murals of evoke serenity with a touch of magic. Seascapes and nautical wall murals are popular restaurant murals and kid's wall murals.

“For some reason, the water evokes a personal space where everything quiets down. The lighting is different than what we see on a daily basis and the whole experience of not being held down by gravity, of being able to float any where you see something interesting, gives the viewer a sense of freedom from certain natural laws.”

With the manta ray as the central element, you get that sense of gliding along and enjoying life. The sun brightened colors of the coral and seaweed also give depth to this undersea world. And yet there is this shark and shipwreck in the background that leaves one wondering - is the shark hungry? Is the ocean always so peaceful?

“For this seascape, the client asked for an under the sea mural with high detail as a kid's mural. While there is some possibility of action, you could gaze at the mural and enter a restful dreamy space before going to sleep.”

Under The Sea Mural for a Bathroom

This underwater mural project was a small bathroom that had entry from two directions and felt somewhat like a hallway. The full ocean wall mural added depth to the room and gave it a character all its own. There is a ceiling mural of dappled waves and sunlight as seen from below that rounds out the sense of being underwater. Dive gear is optional while taking a bath.
