Wall Murals Frequently Asked Questions
Wall murals are exciting additions to a room or to a home. First time mural aficionados (you) usually have several questions that need answering in order to help make a decision or ascertain the tremendous benefits of owning a mural.
The following are some of the most frequently asked questions.
Q: Will my wall mural be a “one of a kind painting”?
A: Always. The beauty of a custom mural is its uniqueness. Unlike wall paper, you will not see it anywhere else. It is very personal to the home and it's owner.
Q: Can I choose what the mural is about and what goes in it?
A: Yes! Planning a mural or a theme for a series of murals is fairly simple.
- Figure where you want the mural and what feeling you want in the room.
- Determine the subject matter (i.e., landscape, seascape, nautical mural, Tuscan mural, etc.).
- Choose the detail level: low, medium or high. This relates to the density of denizens - the number and types of fish, wildlife, flowers, etc.
- Get a price estimate.
- Adjust the mural size or detail level to match your investment budget.
Q: How long does it take to create a mural, for example, on an 8 X 12 wall?
A: This depends largely on the detail level. A medium detail mural usually takes three days to a week. A higher detail mural, a series of murals taking more than one wall, or a ceiling mural may take two weeks.
Q: Are you one of those hard to work with, eccentric, creative, artistic types?
A: No, I'm an easy to work with, eccentric, creative, artistic type.
